Building and remodeling in Sahuarita and Green Valley

South of Tucson along I-19, Sahuarita's newer neighborhoods like Rancho Sahuarita sit right next to Green Valley, one of the region's best-known retirement communities. The projects reflect that: walk-in showers and accessible bathrooms, casitas for visiting family, and stucco and roof repairs on homes that have spent decades in the sun.

Who issues permits here

This is where people get caught out. Sahuarita is an incorporated town with its own permit office. Green Valley is not a town at all. It's unincorporated Pima County, so permits come from Pima County Development Services. Many homes in both areas also have an HOA review step.

What homeowners here call us for

Bathroom and shower remodels are one of our most requested jobs here: replacing tubs with low-threshold walk-in showers, adding benches and grab-bar blocking, and updating dated tile.

Careful work in lived-in homes

Most of our work here happens while people are living in the home, so we keep the site clean, communicate clearly and finish what we start. We're a family-owned, licensed general contractor (AZ ROC #344537) based in Tucson.

Making homes easier to live in

A lot of our work in Green Valley is about staying in the home comfortably for longer. That usually means a tub-to-shower conversion with a low or no threshold, a built-in bench, solid blocking behind the walls for grab bars, wider doorways and better lighting. We plan these with you so they look like a well-designed bathroom, not a hospital room. See our bathroom remodel cost guide for what drives price.

Casitas for visiting family

Sahuarita's newer neighborhoods and Green Valley's larger lots both get requests for a casita or guest suite. The rules differ: Sahuarita is a town with its own code and Green Valley follows Pima County's guest house rules. Our Sahuarita and Green Valley casita page covers both.

Stucco and roofs in the southern sun

Older Green Valley homes often have original stucco and roof coatings that have seen decades of sun. Fading, chalking and hairline cracks are cosmetic at first, but they let water in over time. We handle stucco crack repair, re-stucco and flat roof repair.
